BFRG and The Huge Law Firm have been appointed lead settlement class counsel by the Honorable Amy J. St. Eve in the case of In re: AT&T Mobility Wireless Data Services Tax Litigation in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Chicago. In what may be the largest class action case in history in terms of the number of consumers affected, a proposed settlement would involve coordinating the refund and reimbursement to consumers of hundreds of millions of dollars of wrongfully collected sales tax on internet access provided through cellular devices from over 2000 taxing jurisdictions nationwide. The settlement has received preliminary approval and notice is being sent to class members. A Final Fairness Hearing has been set before Judge St. Eve on March 10-2011.
